Sensotech Instruments Inc. manufactures a precision-designed Helmet Type Hairdryer Test Apparatus developed for conducting safety, heating, and operational performance tests on helmet-type hairdryers according to IEC 60335-2-23 and IS 302-2-23 standards. The testing device is specially designed to comply with the requirements of IEC 60335-2-23 Clause 3.1.9 for evaluating the operating characteristics and thermal behavior of helmet-type hairdryers under specified testing conditions. The complete apparatus consists of a test bench, dull black-painted wooden sphere, and wire frame arrangement designed for accurate and repeatable testing operations. During testing, the helmet-type hairdryer is operated with the axis of the hood inclined at an angle of up to 60° to the horizontal or at the maximum angle permitted by the construction of the appliance. A specially designed dull black-painted wooden sphere of 200 mm diameter is positioned inside the hood so that the center of the sphere coincides precisely with the axis of the hood. The testing arrangement maintains a shortest distance of 50 mm between the sphere and the air outlet grille for standardized airflow and temperature evaluation. For hairdryers equipped with flexible hood attachments, the hood attachment is placed over the specified wire frame arrangement as per standard figure requirements, with the frame positioned accurately over the wooden sphere. The apparatus is manufactured using high-quality structural materials for dimensional accuracy, stable operation, and long service life. The system ensures accurate simulation of actual operating conditions for evaluating airflow distribution, temperature rise, heating performance, and safety compliance of helmet-type hairdryers.
