Sensotech Instruments Inc. manufactures a precision-engineered IPX9 & IPX9K Water Jet Test Apparatus designed for evaluating the resistance of electrical and electronic products against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets according to IEC 60529 and ISO 20653 waterproof testing standards. The system is specially developed for conducting IPX9 and IPX9K ingress protection tests under severe environmental and wash-down conditions. During testing, the specimen is exposed to high-temperature water jets delivered from multiple spray angles with controlled pressure and flow rate to simulate demanding cleaning environments. The apparatus is designed as a floor-standing automatic testing unit equipped with PLC-based control and touch screen HMI for accurate and user-friendly operation. The system includes a motorized rotating turntable, precision spray nozzles, adjustable water temperature control, programmable test timing, and stainless steel chamber construction for reliable waterproof testing performance. Advanced models are available with automatic nozzle positioning, high-pressure circulation systems, variable speed rotation, and programmable testing cycles for enhanced automation and testing efficiency. The IPX9 & IPX9K Water Jet Test Apparatus is widely used in automotive industries, electrical equipment testing, electronics manufacturing, appliance testing laboratories, research centers, certification laboratories, and quality assurance departments for waterproof compliance verification.

Technical Precision and Thermal Control

The spray system utilizes four fan-jet nozzles constructed from hardened HRC62 steel. Positioned on a single vertical plane at angles of 0°, 30°, 60°, and 90°, each nozzle is adjustable to maintain the precise required distance from the Device Under Test (DUT).

To ensure thermal accuracy, the reservoir integrates a PID-controlled heating element and temperature probes, maintaining water at a constant (80±5)°C. During operation, water is discharged at pressures between 8,000 and 10,000 kPa at programmed intervals, ensuring rigorous compliance with international standards.
