The system is specially developed for conducting IPX3 spray water testing and IPX4 splash water testing to verify enclosure safety and waterproof performance under simulated environmental conditions. During the IPX3 test, the specimen is exposed to spraying water at angles up to 60° from vertical direction, simulating rainfall or light water spray conditions. In the IPX4 test, the specimen is subjected to water splashing from all directions, ensuring complete protection verification against splashed water exposure. The apparatus is designed as a floor-standing automatic testing unit equipped with PLC-based control and touch screen HMI operation for accurate, repeatable, and user-friendly testing performance. The equipment includes a precision oscillating tube system manufactured with uniformly distributed spray nozzles for consistent water flow and standardized testing conditions. A motorized rotating turntable is provided for uniform specimen exposure during testing, ensuring accurate multi-directional spray coverage. IEC60529 Compliant Oscillating Tube and Nozzles
Constructed from high-quality stainless steel, the oscillating tube features a semi-circular design with precision-drilled holes directed toward the center. Each port is equipped with a threaded fitting, allowing easy manual installation of spray nozzles and plugs. During operation, water is ejected from the nozzles in a concentrated stream, providing direct impact on the specimen enclosure to ensure accurate ingress protection testing results.
To accommodate different sample sizes, the system offers oscillating tubes with multiple radii. The IPX3 oscillating tube sprays water over the sample at an angle up to 60° on either side of the vertical, while the IPX4 oscillating tube splashes water over the sample from all directions. All tests maintain a standardized spray distance between the specimen and the spray nozzles for accurate and repeatable testing performance. The chamber interior is equipped with integrated lighting and a built-in power socket for Test Under Load (TUL) applications.

The open-type design allows the oscillating tube radius to extend up to large dimensions, making it ideal for testing oversized products that cannot fit inside standard enclosed chambers. Open-type systems generally require a dedicated waterproof testing room or specialized drainage arrangement for efficient water runoff management during operation.
